The Barcelona pilot aims to improve the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and other micro-mobility users, by reducing the conflicts among these road users. The pilot will combine computer vision models and a digital tool to assess the safety of the micro-mobility infrastructure. It will also test an application that allows citizens to provide data about the state of the infrastructure.
Through this app, micro-mobility users will also be receiving dynamic alerts for safer use of the infrastructure. The combined data from user feedback and infrastructure analysis will be visualised in a dashboard which will include Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and allow for dynamic activation and deactivation of alerts. The dashboard will provide authorities with compelling reports to improve the speed of intervention.
